A big thank you...

Yesterday my mother dearest and I held a garage sale to raise money for her 32 orphans children in Nepal.
We had one about a year ago and it was really successful. We raised $1900 to go towards their school fees, uniforms, food and books etc.
So my mum decided to make it and annual thing and do it again!
We had soooo much stuff donated to us to contribute to the garage sale..
Books, Toys, Clothes, Shoes, Furniture, Records, Bags, Paintings, Organic Olive Oil, Nepalese Handmade Crafts, Jewellery.... you name it!

We even made a truck load of muffins and a massive pot of traditional Chai tea.. it was a great day for everyone.
Although it was actually a really quiet day, (we live in a quiet street) we raised just under $1000 and I think that's pretty successful considering how many people showed up.

We still have soo much amazing trash n treasures left over to get rid of to raise more money for the kids so we are thinking of holding another garage sale in a different location in about 1 months time.

If you are interested in helping out or making a donation, click on the RCCO tab on this blog and it will take you to the facebook. You can just private message us :)

A huge thank you to everyone that did show up and show their support...

Being brave...

I've started a new blog called MY JOURNEY...

Ive strayed a little from the whole idea of being about fashion and accessories, and thought I would broaden my so called expertise.
It's not really expertise, its just knowledge I have accumulated over the years and using to my best advantage.

My Journey is designed to help me lose weight. Not that I'm unhappy with my body, but I'm just content with it and I don't think its OK to just be 'content' with yourself. You have to push to be the best you can be and be happy.

I have an upcoming Philippines Holiday planned and figured I better get into shape so I don't have to worry about which position best hides my stomach in photographs when I'm wearing a bikini.
Philippines has been voted one of the most beautiful beach destinations in the world and I want to proudly show photos of me prancing on the beach in a little bikini..

Basically, I post what I eat and what exercise I do daily. This may be boring to others, but I know that I stalk what other people eat and get ideas of meals and exercises.
Also, the fact that I will be posting daily, makes me want to impress the readers by NOT eating crap and by doing as much exercise as I can, or at least once a day.
Ive been really slack in the last 2 months due to personal reasons, so I'm hoping that when I post again in 30 days, there will be a severe difference from day 1 to day 30, and I will then continue on for a further 30 days until my goal is reached or until I am truly happy and cannot wait to get in a bikini for my holiday.

Back in the day, I tried Bulimia, Anorexia, Appetite reduction pills and the Coffee diet.
None of it works.
Vomiting - grosses me out and makes me look horrible.
Anorexia - I was eating 1 Apple in the morning and that was it for the day, I lost a fair bit of weight but quickly gained it back plus more when I started eating again.
Appetite reduction pills - It did suppress my appetite but when i got it back I was more hungry than before and would binge
Coffee diet - Suppresses your appetite BUT too much caffeine gives you a headache, wires you up and then you crash at the end, having that much milk isn't good for you AND it gives you stinky breath. Not to mention your body requires actual food and nutrients to function!

So, now that I'm older, and wiser, I'm doing this the healthy way by eating more healthy foods more regularly.

I will reveal my starting measurements and weight which were taken 2 days ago and I will have comparing measurements and weight taken at the end of the 30 days. Maybe I'll even be brave enough to post the before and after photos.
I do NOT want to fail now that its public. I want to prove to myself that I can do this the healthy way.

A very blue future...

What a disgustingly beautiful hot day.. 36 degrees and still climbing it feels.
I hope you all enjoyed your long weekend!

I spent the Friday night having dinner at Little Creatures Dining Hall on Brunswick Street... deeelish but overpriced if you asked me... and do NOT order the lamb ribs. It is 80% fat.
I then continued on my way home to fall asleep by 11pm. I am a real party animal :/
The Saturday I spent eating THE most amazing breakfast at Gypsy Hideout on High Street Northcote, followed by a short bush walk through the Yarra Boulevard Parklands to see the thousands of sleeping bats. It was incredible getting up close to the 'scary' flying creatures.

Sunday was THE day of Future Music Festival. Although I would have LOVED to attend, I feel as though this old lass has had her partying days and I opt to work behind the bar instead (this way I get paid and get in for free and party afterwards)
I started at 1130am and finished by 7pm and STILL got to see my one and only Azealia Banks...
We were working on the bar right in front of her stage so I ran away from the customers and snuck with the bar manager into the front pit in front of the stage where only photographers and security are allowed to stand... I felt pretty special watching her from so close and was NOT envious of the thousands of people crammed behind the fence... (its a bit of a crap photo but my life is somewhat complete now)

I bumped into my good friend Dan Livingstone who musically is climbing the ladder so quickly and I'm so proud of him. He is the vocalist for one of Andy Murphy's semi new track 'Let's Go All In'

Please excuse my facial expression. I was smiling mid pouting

I thought it would be a different idea to channel Gwen Stefani circa 1990's and colour my entire hair bright blue and wear bindis and face jewells like she did below...

I think I turned out quite well but let me tell you, coloured hair spray and sweat DO NOT mix! I did a fantastic job with the glitter eye makeup, the jewells and the bindis, my hair looked uber cute to start with, then I went hectic all out and added the flowers. At first I thought it would be too much but this is the only type of situation I like to use YOLO!

At the start of the day, I got to the wrong staff entrance at Epsom Road tram stop and was directed ALL the way around to the train station entrance. A good 20 minute walk.. in 30 deg heat it's not ideal. Especially when you have temporary coloured hair spray in.
By the time I got to the staff entrance, most of my little crystals had fallen off my face, and, embarrassingly I was dripping blue sweat. Down my forehead, sideburns and neck. I was freaking out that I would not stop sweating all day and I would have to suffer with being that Smurf-a-like bartender at Future.
But, after rolls and rolls of toilet paper, and being put on the bar underneath cover (I was under the First Class section) I cooled down and stopped blu-eeding.

All in all I had a great day serving drunken idiots and seeing lots of people I haven't seen in years and to end the night we watched Bloc Party who were, not surprisingly, incredible.

Love love love

A weekend to remember...

Happy Monday lovers and dreamers!

What an exciting weekend that just passed. It definitely made up for my last 2 weekends spent sick in bed.
On Friday evening, the Australian Red Cross Blood Service gang and I headed down to Southbank Donor Centre to film our very own Harlem Shake video. Yes a lot of people despise any Harlem Shakes but I find them absolutely hilarious and thought it would be a great idea to get our mascot Billy the Blood Drop involved in this viral sensation. It was a HUGE success and I'm so close to finishing the video!
A lot of the 'stars' were amused by my huge collection of crazy costumes and props and asked where on earth I got them all from! They were a little shocked when I told them they were my everyday clothes from my wardrobe...
You can find the video on the Australian Red Cross Blood Service website and the Facebook in the next couple of weeks.
If you are interested in donating blood, click the same link above and book in. Each donation can help save up to 3 lives and really is an incredible feeling. 1 in 3 people will need a blood transfusion at some stage in their life, and only 1 in 30 people will donate. If you know someone that has ever needed a blood transfusion, a friend or relative, you can help by donating knowing that you're saving someones life, or helping a mother bring another life into this world.

After the shoot I headed to Rice Queen on Brunswick street for birthday cocks.. Rice Queen is incredible. The cocktails, the food and the whole layout and furnishings is beautiful. It's one of those places I would always walk past and say "I have to go there one day its looks amaze"

Saturday morning I had my 7th session to get tattooed. I'm currently working on building up half a sleeve on my left arm and so far its looking great. With my Wolf obsession, I thought I would get a wolf tattoo. Its a portrait that I found on google and I made a few tweaks to it to get it looking how I wanted and my tattooist did the best job. Check out their website HERE they are some great artists... My artist is Pabs and I will never stray..

Then, I had another birthday at Naked in the Sky, which is above Naked for Satan on the corner of Brunswick and Johnston streets in Fitzroy. I cannot believe I hadn't been there yet. So many times my friends had gone for drinks and I always thought 'where is this place'!? The name alone is very inviting.
Well it was more than what I expected and I will definitely be returning soon although the line to get up is a bit of a drag but worth the wait none the less!

Then, not so surprisingly, Sunday was spent hungover devouring my favourite breakfast at my favourite breakfast cafe Gypsy Hideout on High Street Northcote (opposite Westgarth theatre) then back home to bed, movies and cuddles.
I was supposed to get my drink on with the girls at the Brunswick Music Festival on Sydney Road but I think my body would have gone into overload and become an alcoholic carcass.

Hope you had a lovely weekend!
